Net Zero Carbon 2030: Energy Footprint Tool diary reminder for 2024

First published on: 15th December 2023

A reminder to please support your church treasurers and eco champions tasked with filling out the annual Energy Footprint Tool, in 2024.

The survey to log the carbon footprint of your church will now open for filing via the Church of England Parish Returns system in February.

In the meantime, you can begin gathering the information that will be needed, including the 2023 energy bills for your church buildings. Watch our step-by-step video guide here

Thank you to the 39% of churches across our diocese who took part this year. You should now have an accurate picture of the carbon footprint of your church for 2022, and some tips to help reduce it.

Providing this baseline data is vital to our commitment to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030, enabling us to strategically allocate resources to support reductions in carbon emissions across the diocese.
