We are thrilled with the response to our Contactless Rollout so far. Applications remain open till the end of the month, so please make sure your application is submitted by then. If you haven’t already, you can apply by clicking the link below.

“We actually installed a Payaz Passbox with the Give a Little software in May last year and have found it to be very beneficial and easy to use. I would advise anyone who has doubts to take the plunge.”

Keith, Treasurer

I’ve already applied – what now?

If you’ve already applied for a contactless device, thank you. We will be reviewing applications once they have closed and should have some news for you around mid-April. Good luck!

In the meantime, it is worth setting up a Sum Up account through the Parish Buying website. Give A Little is a free application that is powered by Sum Up and works on both on mobile and tablet devices as well as website pages and some contactless giving stations. Take a look at the website here

Give A Little is a really easy way to set up your online giving and can be utilised in lots of ways:

  • A link on your website, A Church Near You and giving page and social media

  • Download the QR code of your giving campaign and print it onto pew cards or notice sheets

  • Create campaigns for different events with adjusted giving amounts, for example baptisms, civic events or Sunday services. Give A Little sends you a report reconciling the amounts given each different campaign, meaning restricted funds are easily distinguished from other generous giving.

  • Images and videos can be displayed to support your giving campaign

Signing up through Parish Buying enables you to access the enhanced Gift Aid package which enables you to collect Gift Aid through online donations, and if you are using Data Developments software, you can sync your financial accounts. (You would still have to process these through HMRC as usual but the accounts are recorded in a way that makes this very simple).

This suggestion is for one-off donations and should not replace regular giving mechanisms, ideally the Parish Giving Scheme, as it is the regular committed giving that resources the mission and ministry of our churches, as well as the generous one-off donations.

Good examples of Give A Little in Action

  • Phones or tablets – The demonstration on the Give A Little homepage shows just how easily a tablet or a mobile can connect to a Sum Up device, allowing people to ‘tap’ the amount they’d like to give on the tablet, and swipe their card across the card reader to donate.

In order to apply for the contactless rollout, you will need an account on the Parish Buying website. If you have any trouble logging in please contact the support staff at Parish Buying T:0800 368 0887 E: support@parishbuying.org.uk

If you have any other enquiries regarding digital giving, do not hesitate to ask. I am looking forward to working with you.
