Christian Responsibility Programme

Christian responsibility materials in Liverpool Diocese are obtained from the www.givingingrace.org website. The initiative was launched in 2005 and nearly half of all parishes in the diocese have embarked on a programme using the material, the first 25 parishes netting an impressive £330,000 a year additional giving.
The initiative is not simply about money, it is about vision and commitment. The material is differentiated to attempt to reach people where they are spiritually, as either core church members, congregational members who are in the planned giving scheme or fringe members. It is this differentiated approach that has proved so helpful - especially in large churches.

The website based resource contains all the preaching, teaching, publicity, prayer and other materials a parish will need. This includes material for children, all age worship, youth groups, visiting and case studies of parishes who have used the programme

The site is divided into sections on:
Leadership
Prayer
Preaching
Communication
Interaction
There is also a Timetables section with agendas for the meetings and checklists.

If parishes would like to discuss the programme either gordon.fath@liverpool.anglican.org or kath.rogers@liverpool.anglican.org will be happy to arrange this. A team of honorary advisers is also available to work with parishes.
