A number of churches have contacted us about the implications with safeguarding for the organisation of volunteers responding to the needs of individuals in our communities during this time of ‘social isolation'.
<p><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif">On Tuesday, in light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice.
Although services may be cancelled for the time being, there are still ways for parishes to come together, especially in the digital space.
Together we have the power to change how those around us feel and experience the next few weeks and months. We have an opportunity to be people of hope, peace, kindness and unexpected joy.
There are lots of resources available to help people through this time.
<p><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif">Bishop Paul encourages us all to join in, as churches of all major denominations will be marking a national day of prayer and action this Sunday, 22nd March.
