Often people want to feel some sense of God as they mark and celebrate key moments of life – such as birth and marriage – and when they want to reflect on the loss of a loved one and what their bereavement means for them and those around them.

As a result baptisms, weddings and funerals are often occasions when people connect or re-connect with God and with church.
