Public Notice of an application to the Consistory Court of the Diocese for permission to carry out the following: The Parish of: Southport The Church of: Holy Trinity
To undertake urgent repairs to stonework including window mullions and tracery to
the South of the Nave; to undertake repairs to the stained glass in these areas; to
repair the guttering between the Choir Vestry and the Chancel; to raise the level of
the paving to the South West porch door to allow level access. To install wrought
iron handrails to the Chancel and Lady Chapel steps to improve accessibility; to
raise the floor level in the North Aisle to that of the adjacent pews with ramped
access at each end; to remove the short pews from the front of the North Transept
and relocate elsewhere in the Nave.
To install self-contained accessible toilet facilities in the North West porch area.
To re-order the church to create a mezzanine floor within the North Transept to
provide the following: two meeting rooms; an area for children and parents during
services; a servery area for refreshments; a space for community use; a small
enclosable room for counselling; two offices for clergy use and one to one meetings.
These works to be undertaken according to the Architects Report, Access Statement
and specification from NJSR Architects ref: 1140-001J/100, 110, 120, 121; 1140-
001J/200, 201, 202, 203; 1140-001J400, 401, 410, 420, 430 & additional detail
1140-001J/403 together with the tender document produced by EMB Consultants,
Chartered Quantity Surveyors
