The Diocese of Liverpool has produced the Giving in Grace material for use by any church, in order to help teach and practice Christian Giving in response to God's love for the work and mission of God's Church. It can be accessed through the links below and new material - especially new sermon material - is added each year as the site is updated and refreshed.
Contact gordon.fath@liverpool.anglican.org for assistance with Giving in Grace, or any queries.
This is also a response to God's love and call for all who are Christians to be called into His mission and plans for the world. Whether it is to help mission overseas through disaster relief, or capital works such as a new roof or modifications to the church building. Fundraising is additional to the normal weekly or monthly act of worship called giving!
Practical advice on how to set about Fundraising can be found by following the links to ACTS; a step by step guide to establishing vision, practical help and fundraising.
The most important initial advice is to think and pray about what you are fundraising for, why you are doing it, and how it fits into the mission and ministry of the church. Ownership by the church of the vision is crucial if church members are to be persuaded to give - and if they won't, why should anyone else? A good vision with a good plan, backed by enthusiastic and committed people praying, giving, and enjoying the challenge, will be infectious and will fundraise well.
