Could your church be given a Disabled Friendly Church Award?

Congratulations to All Saints with St Frideswyde, Thornton, Crosby who were awarded the Disabled Friendly Church Award in October.

Ruth Reed, Disability Awareness Officer and Vulnerable Adults Adviser explains more about the award:

“The point of the award is three fold. Firstly, to advise on how structurally to make the church more accessible, secondly to educate the church congregation around Disability issues and thirdly to enable the church in their outreach as they are able to display a sign which gives a signal to the community that people with Disability are welcome.”

Do you want to send that message to your community? Think about enrolling in the Disabled Friendly award scheme and send a positive message to show you extend a welcome to all.
