Canon for Mission and Faith Development
Liverpool Cathedral is an iconic building which has prayer and worship at the heart of cathedral life. We are known as a place of creativity and encounter which make us a busy place. Up to 500,000 people a year encounter Liverpool Cathedral in one form or another which gives plenty of opportunity to reach out to new people.

Under the leadership of our new Dean, the Very Revd Dr Sue Jones (in post from May 2019) Liverpool Cathedral is refocussing our strategic aim towards the concept of encounter. The cathedral remains a place built “by the people, for the people, to the glory of God” working towards two ambitious goals – to double our worshipping communities and to raise £24m by July 2024.

The cathedral is looking for an experienced priest who can enhance and develop the cathedral’s mission. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills. They will play a full part in cathedral life. They will have a modern, well maintained townhouse in Cathedral Close.

Closing Date: 5pm, 14th December 2018
Interviews: 10th January 2018
Candidates should make sure that they are also free on the afternoon of 9th January.

Vicar - Southport Holy Trinity and Priest in Charge of Southport All Saints
We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who can further develop the mission of these two Southport churches. Since early 2017 the two parishes have prayerfully embraced the idea of coming together in partnership. Both PCCs have been proactive in cultivating positive working relationships over the last year and are excited by the possibilities. They are looking for someone who can help them move forward to see a bigger church making a bigger difference.

All Saints is a smaller congregation which has been led by a Local Missional Leader (LML) while Holy Trinity, with a larger congregation, is a diverse town centre parish whose incumbent retired recently. The role is a stimulating, creative and demanding one which is supported by a significant number of gifted lay leaders.

The Vicar will have the use of the vicarage for Holy Trinity parish.

Closing Date: 22nd November 2018
Interviews: 10th December 2018
