Supporting children and young people

Making It Easier > Making it easier to... > Support younger people

The Diocese of Liverpool strongly believes in the importance of young people in church, and recognises the significance of welcome, nurture and discipleship in helping children and young people develop a positive experience of church.

We are passionate about offering opportunities for young people to experience God’s love and encounter Jesus, to enable a 'bigger church to make a bigger difference'

We are committed to creating safe and enabling environments and to offering support and encouragement to all those working with children, young people and their families, also to those wishing to start new ministries and missional opportunities.

The Diocese of Liverpool Child-Friendly Church Award scheme makes it easier for your church to look at all you provide for children, young people and their families.

While our series of ‘Open the Box’ conferences and workshops look at a wide range of topics to help you deliver this ministry.

You'll find Open the Box events and to on our events page.
