Treasurers and Gift Aid Secretaries - we can make it easier!

Cath Gaskell, Finance Resources Officer at Diocese of Liverpool has put together this list of the top 5 challenges that face our parish Treasurers and Gift Aid Secretaries and how the team will help you make it easier at the upcoming training evening on October 12th.

  1. Not enough time.
Cath will give you all the info you need on how to join the Parish Giving Scheme that will save you time by reducing the administrative burden of Gift Aid claims and bank reconciliation.

  2. Not enough money.
Steve Pierce will talk about different ways you can generate more income from different income streams. Kim Stanley will show how you can maximise the churches income by submitting an accurate Gift Aid claim, to ensure you claim all the money back from the government that you are entitled to.

  3. Not enough resources.
We will provide all the info you need on how to utilise a number of great resources designed to make things easier for you: Gift Aid, accounts, fundraising and the Parish Giving Scheme.

  4. Dealing with confusing information.
Gordon Fath will lead a Q&A session that will give you a chance to ask that niggling question about any aspect of church finance that you find difficult or confusing. Kim will demystify the government rules & regulations surrounding Gift Aid to make it easy to navigate.

  5. Who do you turn to for help?
As well as meeting the team face to face which is always helpful, we will show you a host of local and national information sources that can help you.
