Queen's Birthday Celebrations

Congratulations to those connected to the church in our diocese who received honours in the Birthday Honours List 2016

Revd Canon Malcolm Rogers received an MBE for his sterling work on civic links, working with the Anthony Walker Trust and the Liverpool Link with Virginia.

Ruth Gould DL received her MBE for her work on equality issues notably the DaDa Fest and she is a member of St George’s Everton.

Sue Dwyer received an MBE for her sterling work over decades at the Wellington Avenue (Methodist Community Centre) but she was for many years a churchwarden in inner city Liverpool and member of the Board for Social Responsibility in the Anglican Diocese.

Revd Jean Flood the outgoing Coordinator of Mission in the Economy received the BEM for her sterling work on so many aspects of MitEs work not the International Festival of Business, the Bishop’s lunches and her commitment to interfaith relations.
