Parish Giving Scheme - saving you time, increasing your giving

The Diocese of Liverpool has invested in an innovative national parish giving scheme which aims to reduce the workload for parishes while increasing the giving potential.

This tried and tested scheme brings three key benefits to parishes:
  1. The centralised national scheme reduces the administration time that parish treasurers and Gift Aid Secretaries need to spend
  2. Gives parishes speedy, reliable payments from Gift Aid
  3. Helps tackle static levels of giving.
Cath Gaskell, Finance Resources Officer is hosting some events in the New Year to introduce parishes to this free to use scheme. She said, “Congregational giving is by far the most important source of income for any parish. Yet collecting, administering and getting the most from Gift Aid can be time consuming. The Diocese of Liverpool wants to support our parishes by making this whole process simpler. We believe that through signing up to this Direct Debit based scheme, parishes have a modern efficient way of encouraging giving.”

It’s a scheme where everyone benefits - The church, the treasurer, and the individual giver. And you can find out how you and your church can benefit at one of our information events.
