Ordination of Deacons 2016

Bishop Paul ordains 10 new Deacons.

Congratulations to our new deacons who were ordained last Sunday at Liverpool Cathedral. Following a retreat at Gladstone Library.

Bishop Richard said “Sunday’s ordinations were, as ever, a joyful spirit filled occasion. I am heartened and encouraged by the prayerful dedication of each of this year’s curates. It has been a pleasure to meet and support these candidates on part of their journey. Their stories are interesting and in many ways inspiring and they have shown an admirable dedication to hearing God’s call on their lives. As they embark on this next phase of our ministry I pray for them, their families and all they minister to in the parishes they are called to serve. And I pray that the Spirit will continue to form them, as he can form all of us, to be faithful witnesses and servants of Christ.”
