Make more from Back to Church Sunday with the season of invitation

Bishop Paul is encouraging our churches to take part in the national Season of Invitation this year.

And your church could join one of the several who have signed to get a free training evening and resource pack to help you make the most of this simple way to grow your church.

Evolving from Back to Church Sunday, which had ten successful years, Season of Invitation builds on that annual invitation to encourage churches to invite folk to five services during the autumn.

These five services make up the Season of Invitation

Back to Church Sunday (September)
Harvest (October)
Remembrance   (November)
Christmas Starts (Advent Sunday)
Christmas (December)

Linking these together means people are much more likely to come, and keep coming, because you can keep inviting them to services.

As one of the country’s leading advocates of Back to Church Sunday, Bishop Paul is committed to this idea. He is funding training with church expert Michael Harvey and the purchase of high quality invitation packs for 25 churches.

The training will take place on
Thursday 3rd September 2015 at 7:30pm
St Lukes Church, Great Crosby.

If you would like to take up this offer Michael suggests that you identify 3 or 4 key lay people to attend the training night with you.
