The Christian community organisation that staged the Narnia Experience at St George’s Hall is trying something new this Christmas.
The Crosby and Waterloo Living Advent Calendar consist of 24 different performances at 24 different venues across Crosby and Waterloo. Visit the online Advent Calendar and open the door and reveal each day’s event. There will also be a video each day that will show people trying to unwrap the true meaning of Christmas.
Annie Spires from In Another Place said “Its a joyful community event building on relationships with traders and performers and a chance to invite local residents to get out an about at Christmas, and it has a gentle reminder of the real meaning of Christmas running through the event and revealed by the end both in the goggle box videos daily and in the performances. We hope it may inspire other communities to do something different in their local area at Christmas.”
The event has gone down well with local residents so far:
“I can’t wait to watch goggle box every day “ Marg

“ We were sad to have missed the giant puppets in the fire station, but I watched it that evening with my sister in Canada, on Skype - it was wonderful!”
