Fr Richard Peers, Director of Education has written an update on the progress of the formation of the new Liverpool Diocesan Schools Trust.
Work is continuing on the formation of our Diocesan led Multi Academy Trust, to be known as LDST.
Twenty-one schools have indicated a desire to join this year. Where the Parochial Church Council acts as trustee for the land, a counted vote of consent is needed before a school is able to convert to becoming an academy. We will be writing to those incumbents where this is the case and where schools wish to join the trust in the next few weeks. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Education Team if you have any questions about this.
Meanwhile, we have decided on the Trust strap line:
'Jesus grew in wisdom and stature'
We hope very much that the whole diocese will join in praying for the Trust and all of us working to form it.
We believe that the development of the Trust will allow the family of schools to stay together, to keep Jesus at the heart of our schools and to ensure that every pupil receives an excellent education. Doing this our Trust will help bring more people to know Jesus and more justice in the world.

We thank you, God of Love, for the gift of children,
bless the work of our Trust, that in all we do
young people may grow in wisdom and stature,
and so come
to know you,
to love you
and to serve you,
as Jesus did.
We make our prayer in his name who is God
with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever.
