Year 10 and 11 students are invited to design a poster and compose a prayer which will be used as part of the domestic violence awareness work of the Josephine Butler Memorial Trust.
The prize will be £2,000 for the RE Department to purchase books and materials via Liverpool Cathedral Shop. The winning school will also be presented with a plaque for display in school.
Schools operating in the Boroughs of Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral are eligible to enter as are schools under the auspices of the Diocese of Liverpool and Archdiocese of Liverpool.
The competition was launched after the Merseyside Domestic Violence Summit which took place in November 2013.
The closing date for the competition is 10.00 am. on Tuesday May 6th and the winner will be notified by Tuesday May 13th.
The prize will be awarded during the Annual Josephine Butler Day Celebrations which are held on Friday 30th May at Liverpool Cathedral.
