Congratulations to All Saints Stoneycroft who were presented with the Child Friendly Church award.
Sue Mitchell, Children and Families Missioner presented the award on behalf of the Diocese of Liverpool at the church’s family service on On Sunday 17th May. There was a real atmosphere of celebration with many of the congregation and young people's groups present. The Guides helped to lead the service and Jackie Davies worked really hard to complete the award application.
The award is a national Church of England initiative and recognises churches that have a welcome for children and nurtures and integrates young people in to the life of the church. All Saint’s Sunday school, uniform groups, family services, baptisms, messy church and accessible buildings have all helped them achieve this recognition.
Paul Carhart, Churchwarden said “The award gives us access to support and resources to help grow our ministry to young people - this is one of our main mission objectives. Achieving this award is a great honour for All Saints and we hope that it will give us the inspiration to achieve more for the young people in our church and seek new and exciting ways to grow our ministry”.
