Great feedback from this year’s Annual Reader Conference

'The Bishop of Warrington's Annual Reader Conference took place recently at the Select Stadium in Widnes

Spen Webster, Warden of Readers, tells of the experience the Readers had on the day.

"The day was led and facilitated by Rev Canon Paul Rattigan Liverpool Cathedral with the theme of 'Christ the King' (We preach Christ crucified) and over 100 Readers were 'treated' to one of the best interactive Reader Conference days they have attended. The day commence with Holy Communion and then straight into listening sessions, group work, and ending the day with Worship and an Act of Dedication. The feedback from delegates has been truly amazing!

The words of the post communion prayer' Stir up O Lord the wills of your faithful people' actually came true that day. Many Readers came and left completed 'stirred up' and 'ready to bring forth the fruit of good works' in their parishes. What a way to end this 150th year celebrations of Reader Ministry in the Church of England!"
