Bishop Richard met with people from the local business sector at Risley at a Mission in the Economy event hosted by Sellafield Ltd.
Bishop Richard recently attended a Mission in the Economy lunch ar Risley, hosted by Sellafield Ltd.
Attendees also included the Mayor and Mayoress and leader of the Council, chaplains including Jean Flood from Mission in the Economy, and business representatives.
These lunches have been held twice a year in a variety of locations for over a quarter of a century, bringing together people from the business sector, the Church, the voluntary sector, the Local Authority and statutory agencies with a mutual interest and concern about economic issues.
Following a presentation by Iain Irving, Director Stakeholder Relations, Bishop Richard Blackburn said: “this is a great opportunity for us as to get together and hear the good work carried out by key local businesses.
“It was very interesting to hear from Iain what great work Sellafield Ltd carries out to support its local communities in West Cumbria, Warrington and Chester.”
Iain said: “We were delighted to host the lunch and share some of the work carried out over many years to support our communities with such an interesting audience."
