An open and honest approach to children's ministry

Our LifeCall children's ministry event was held on Tuesday 17th June. The evening was a great success in demonstrating exciting new approaches to mission and ministry with children and their families.

We were fortunate to have two engaging speakers Mark Chester and Nick Harding:

Mark Chester is Founder of Who Let the Dad's Out (WLTDO) and he spoke about having a heart for children and the importance of men being involved in this ministry. Read an interview with Mark here

Nick Harding is Children's Advisor for Southwell and Nottingham and author of many books on children's ministry. Nick will shared his many years experience on equipping children's leaders in their role with ways to inspire and encourage them. Read an interview with Nick here.

There was a great attendance on the night and a lot of positive feedback submitted via our anonymous feedback forms. Here is just a selection of some of the comments:

“Inspirational in a relaxed setting”

“Interesting and inspiring speakers”

“An open and honest approach to children’s ministry”

The event closed with a chance to browse a selection of stalls and ask questions on different aspects of children's ministry.  The stalls included YKids, The Children's Society, WLTDO, Youth for Christ, Christian Aid and Diocesan resources on Awe and Wonder for under 5's and Sunday Schools and children's groups.
