Clergy from the Diocese of Liverpool will be at the Liverpool UK Wedding Show this September.
Clergy from the Diocese of Liverpool will be on hand to answer couples’ questions about church weddings at the Liverpool UK Wedding Show this September.
Clergy will be on stand 96 at St George’s Hall between 10am - 5pm on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September to speak to couples informally and answer questions on a range of wedding-related queries including legal issues and contacting your local church.
Couples can also find out about the rules that make it easier than ever to get married in church. The Marriage Measure of 2008 means that a couple needs to demonstrate just one of seven connections to the church of their choice to marry there.
There will also be information on involving children in a wedding service and combining a wedding with a baptism.
With many couples choosing to marry abroad, they can also speak to clergy about organising a marriage blessing at home.
There is also something for parents of the bride or groom as clergy can advise on organising a vow renewal service.
Couples can pick up a range of free literature including hymn suggestions and readings that can be used in both civil and church weddings, find their local church and look at a special wedding album which tells stories of couples that have married in local churches.
